Philippines: Boracay’s Sand, Sea and Sunsets

The first and last time I visited this paradise was 2011, though the traveling part is a bit troublesome ( from plane to boat to tricycle) but the moment you step into the white powdery sand facing the clear waters, everything was just magic.

Hope you enjoy some of the photos I have taken during my 2011 trip.

How to get there: Daily flights from Manila to Caticlan (Philippine Airlines , Cebu Pacific.) From Caticlan, local boats are available to take you to Boracay Island.
Update: Staring July 2013, Tiger Airways is flying directly from Singapore to Kalibo 3 times per week.

Where to stay: A lot of hotels, hostels and transient houses are available. Can book online for big hotels, for last minute trip, there are “barkers” who are willing to show you around to help you find accommodation once you step out of the boat.

Where to hang out: D’Mall has a lot of places to choose from, from shopping, restaurants and massage clinics or Cafe by the beach.

What to do: Water sports, diving, snorkeling or just seat by the beach and enjoy the sunset.
